After 3 years, im planning on focusing more on vertical investment as i already have a large roster with many built characters and aside from the remaining Archons (and any Sovereigns they make playable) and a few Harbingers, there isn't really much else that interest me. I have almost all bases covered besides a a few things. This is who i currently use: Electro: C2R1 Raiden, C3 Keqing, Yae, C6 Fischl, C6 Beidou, C6 Sara, C3 Kuki, C2 Lisa (unless the rumored Electro Sovereign becomes playable i don't think im ever pulling another new Electro character) Pyro: Hu Tao, C0R1 Yoimiya, C2 Dehya, C6 Xiangling, C6 Thoma, C6 Bennett (all i want is Chev for my overloaded team, Arlecchino, Pyro Archon & the Pyro Dragon and i'll be done here) Hydro: Neuvillette, C2 Furina, Yelan, Nilou, Kokomi, C1 Mona, C6 XQ, C1 Candace (after pulling Neuvillette last patch, i think im done with getting new characters for this element as well) Cryo: Ayaka, C0R1 Ganyu, Eula, C6 Rosaria, C5 Layla, C4 Mika, C3 Charlotte (probably my least used element atm due to hows its been treated lately. Im just waiting for the Tsaritsa at this point. Maybe get Shenhe to make my Cryo dps stronger) Dendro: C2 Nahida, Dendro MC, C6 Collei, C1 Kirara, Yaoyao (don't have a dps here so im planning on getting Alhaitham) Anemo: Venti, Kazuha, C2 Xianyun, C4 Jean, C6 Sucrose, C3 Lynette, C4 Faruzan (one i get Lynette and Faruzan's C6 i'll be done here as well) Geo: Zhongli, Navia, C6 Noelle (with R1 Redhorn), C6 Yunjin, C6 Gorou (just finished this element after getting Gorou's final con from the event) I have already vertically invested in some of the Archons and Xianyun (while trying to get Faruzan cons lol). My current plan is to use my guarantee on Alhaitham and then hard save for C2 Pyro Archon, Pyro Dragon and Columbina in Natlan.

Do you guys think that it would be good if i use Noelle in place of Zhongli? Her shield is strong too right?

I decided to pull on Baizhu's banner alongside the Wanderer's banner. Since i already got Wanderer, I decided to pull for Faruzan cons and luckily got him. Safe to say, he doesn't disappoint because he opens up plenty of teams for me. Very interested to see his potential in the not too distant future!

Here is the thing: Faruzan is no buffer. She herself is the DPS. When we compare her with the likes of other specific buffers...Faruzan is the only one that can buff herself while still working as a DPS. I have an example doing on floor on the current abyss. Is this a re-upload or am i crazy. I swear i saw this before. Also, niche buffer are good overall, although resource wise they are a problem. Universal buffers are universal so you only have to invest on that character and you're good all the way through. Niche character honestly should have an advantage to the things they are buffing over the universal buffers but Bennett exists so... Bennett and furina are still the best buffers even though they are universal at most.

I really like them because they can make some characters a lot better or nicer to use

If this list isn't just abyss/combat rankings tbh Sayu in t4 feels off for me, considering how useful she is in overworld between movement, resource collection and a powerful heal she's one of my go to comfort picks for overworld. also her, c3 Lynette and arlecchcino make for an awesome traversal team with infinite fast movement. I feel like the whole tier list is too combat focused overall

Hey guys! I wanna pull Furina when she reruns for my Childe Double Hydro Hyperbloom team (that was a mouthful). Do you guys think that it's a good team comp? Here's some context: Childe: 73.8% Crit Rate 132.4% Crit DMG (I'd love to up his stats but all of Childe's domains have terrible drops. He is running a 3 piece Nymph's Dream) Nahida: 993 Elemental Mastery (4 piece Deepwood Memories) Raiden: 70.7% Crit Rate, 122.3% Crit DMG, 288% Energy Recharge, 58 Elemental Mastery (4 piece Emblem of Severed Fate) When I get Furina, her stats will look like this (4 piece Golden Troupe). This also does not take into account Hydro Resonance: HP: 44,250 EM: 132 Crit Rate: 52.2 Crit DMG: 125.4 ER: 200.1

Anyone know what best f2p version for arlechino teams is (im talking max 1 five star support low cons 4 star supports cause I started recently don’t have many cons and 5 stars)

Navia plunge? Try Itto plunge. I have horrible artifacts but when I pair him with Gorou, Xianyun and Bennett, I deal 50k+ per plunge. Itto and Xianyun are both c0 while Gorou is c2 and bennett is c6.

If they had a DEF polearm with some ER passive it could help Yun Jin so much. Right now to use her effectively you have to stack basically all her stats into ER and hope the DEF works out

I know this video came out before Arlecchino, but she's somewhere between S and A (if you run her with Zhongli she's an easy S). All of her damage coming from normal attacks makes her soooo comfortable to play in the overworld, and her BoL getting the max amount after a kill means you destroy camps within seconds. You can't run her with a healer which is annoying (as well as burning grass), but she kills most normal mobs within seconds before they can even damage you. Her charge hold isn't as useful as I hoped since it depletes stamina so fast, but its still useful for traversing small bodies of water. Prior to Arle I used Ayaka as my main overworld dps and the difference is night and day.

The problem I have with niche buffers is that they're just greedy cash grabs in most cases. The 4* buffers especially. Most of the issues are already mentioned in the video. The biggest issue when it comes to 4* buffers is that you have no guarantee you'll get any constellations or even your very first copy of the character. There are plenty of streamers who've spent over a hundred fates before they get a single copy of a new 4* character.

My problem with Niche buffers is the damn need for, not just C6, but mats, mats, mats, mats, mats, relics, and mats. It's why I quit the game. Farming just killed the game for me as it was just to get the character online THEN I had to go for relics. So I was either just playing the same characters or forcing myself to farm for a new character. If it wasn't for that, Niche buffers would be peak and fun. But because you have to build all the units to some degree, I hate em. Bennet for life (if I still played).

i don't mind niche. it's that most of them are not good until C6 and usually on specific banners. they should just add more 4* characters to the shop, 5 per round instead of 2 13:00 i could have sworn there was no circle impact with Bennet. i'll lay his burst and i'll move out of it and i still have the buff for quite a bit. it doesn't seem to go away until his burst does. am i imagining it?

Nahida and Kazuha are the true free to play masters. Once you have those two you can use whatever with them and have good results.

I feel like Mika isn't a character without Furina, the only reason why Mika seems undertuned is because he's Furina enabler of the teams he's in, no other niche support does that

As much as I don't innately mind the sit & talk over a topic style videos, I kinda wish you would noticably focus or plot where you're going with your points. Stuff like forgetting you were gonna speak on Xianyun and then confidently say that Shenhe is the only 5 star niche buffer, ends up making it tempting to click away bc you don't know what you're talking about and dismiss your arguments. As much as I often like thinking on your arguments, whether I agree or not, how much I take what you say seriously gets really cut in half by it. I do agree with Hoyo undertuning niche buffers a lot of the time, and that 4.0's niche buffers have avoided that. But frankly, I nearly clicked away at the Shenhe part bc I was half convinced you were gonna skip talking on Xianyun during that section based on it, and it felt like a waste to keep listening to what would inevitably be a outdated argument. I'm sorry this comment is critical, but I do usually love your content and efforts to address so many aspects of Genshin, and it'd be nice to see you be more authoritative and prepared in the thinkpiece vids

Honestly, it really is a toss up. On one hand, if a buffer is a 5 star it can take a lot to guarantee them but on the other hand, that also goes for 4 stars in the sense that it can take a lot of wishes just to obtain them with no 100% guarantee you’ll get them. I’m sure quite a few of us have learned the hard way that wishing for a 4 star normally isn’t worth it and that’s because of the fact that they aren’t guaranteed. More times than not, when I wish for 4 stars I rarely get the desired one I want, so to have a niche support that only works at c6 is an absolute pain. Most of my c6 characters are ones that don’t add value to my teams or I just don’t like to use, and when wishing on those banners those are the cons I normally get, characters I don’t use or didn’t want. Either way, both lowkey suck. Because if you’re unlucky it can take a max of 180 wishes just to guarantee that 5 star support, or you can keep trying to wish for that 4 star support in hopes you don’t get other rated up 4 stars, weapons, and random non-rated up 4 stars. So those of you that are f2p and are low spenders, it’s really not worth trying to pull for a 4 star in most cases. It’s a ploy to make you want to wish more and try and spend money, DONT FALL FOR IT. If you do try and wish for 4 stars I recommend setting a limit to how many wishes your willing to give up before you stop. And if you still can’t get them, just move on because it’s not worth it

For Shenhe, I want characters that make mono cryo better. Probably can't expect it until Snezhnaya, but who knows. I want a competent 5* off-field cryo dps. Ganyu is okay, but not on the levels of Furina or Yelan.

I actually started playing during Kirara's first run, and I ended up getting her on my 13th limited banner wish ever (7th was Kokusei (Keqing) I literally ran Kirara and Kokusei as two core parts of my main team for ages. And I had Kirara's as a mainstay in my team for so long that it was only after I got Tinari (lost the 50/50 on Chiori's banner, and then got his C1 from the standard banner).

For me it ain't a problem because first of all you don't need them and second it adds to the joy of having their c6 because it's not easy to have.

it is helpful, its just a game, as long as you are having fun, thats all that matters. Plus if you play long enough you will get support characters for whoever you want to main. just my opinion. have fun.
